WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

We are currently seeking a talented Solutions Architect to join our team at BASF's Agricultural Solutions department Digital Factory.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable infrastructure using cloud services such as Microsoft Azure. This includes configuring pipelines, databases, and interfaces.
• Translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions. Stay updated about the latest developments in cloud computing and Azure platform. Implement automation tools and frameworks for cloud deployments.
• Moreover, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, product owners, and QA engineers. This includes participating in design discussions, providing feedback on system architecture, and ensuring alignment between development and operations.
• You will ensure that security protocols are integrated into the development process. This includes conducting vulnerability assessments, implementing security measures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Furthermore, you will respond to incidents and outages, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence. This may involve conducting post-mortem analyses and recommending process improvements.
• You will create and maintain comprehensive documentation using Azure DevOps Wiki, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed. 

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

• Bachelor degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in IT operations (DevOPs), software development, or a related field
• Experience with cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure, including architecture, deployment, and management and with version control systems, particularly Git, and collaboration tools like Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, Open ID, SAML protocols. Experience with cloud-based SSO, integrating Identity providers, managing MFA, authentication flows and policies, preferably with Azure Entra ID and/or Azure B2C
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes, DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure as code
• Familiarity with Kanban methodologies and working in an Kanban development environment with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically
• Strong communication skills in English and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
