The role:
As our Key Account Manager, you’ll be the primary contact for our key accounts, mainly freight forwarders in the logistics industry, across the fast-growing APAC region. Your role is to help clients thrive on our container marketplace by facilitating transactions and building strong relationships.
You’ll connect with clients regularly to understand their goals and ensure they’re making the most of our platform’s features. A key part of your role will be tailoring strategies to the unique needs of each market while collaborating with global teams to support market expansion.
You’ll also actively seek new business opportunities within existing accounts in the APAC region and work to expand the customer base through strategic upselling and cross-selling. Additionally, you’ll manage any client escalations with speed and efficiency, ensuring a positive experience at every touchpoint.
Location:
This role can be based full-time in Hamburg or remotely from Taiwan or China. Please note that if based in Taiwan or China, the position will be offered under a freelance agreement.
Your Impact:
Grow Revenue & Retain Clients: You will drive net revenue growth through upselling, contract renewals, and reducing churn. This involves fostering strong client relationships, understanding their long-term business objectives, and identifying new opportunities for expansion.
Enhance Product Adoption: You will engage clients to ensure they effectively use our platform features, embedding xChange into their daily operations to make it an integral part of their business.
Expand Your Customer Portfolio: You will identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts. You will also develop a sustainable portfolio and share strategies that enhance ROI and engagement.
Deliver a Great Onboarding Experience: You will facilitate a smooth onboarding experience for new clients in their first 60 days, delivering training and ongoing follow-ups. You will also collaborate with internal teams to ensure your accounts are well-supported.
Resolve Issues Promptly: You will quickly address any issues related to container leasing or trading, aiming to respond within 12 hours to maintain high client satisfaction.
What makes you the PERFECT match?
You are fluent in both Mandarin and English, with excellent communication skills to engage clients effectively.
You bring 4-6 years of account management experience, ideally also as a Key Account Manager.
You have a proven track record managing key account portfolio, preferably in marketplaces, SaaS, or logistics (container leasing and trading).
You excel at developing and nurturing B2B relationships, with a clear understanding of client needs and expectations.
You are a true hunter at heart. You thrive on making daily calls, actively seeking opportunities, and pursuing business growth relentlessly.
You bring a proactive, high-energy approach, ready to tackle challenges and drive rapid growth.
