Key Account Manager

The Role

Pharmasource is Ireland’s leading supplier of unlicensed and difficult to source medicines in the market. This role will support the accounts and the customers in this space. We have serious growth ambition for this business and are looking for someone who is driven, excited by a fast-changing environment and has a strong background excelling in sales and has existing relationships in the hospital pharmacy environment or has worked in this space.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve annual strategic imperatives by generating sales and margin to achieve Business Unit targets
  • Detailed account management and business planning - ensure business driving activities are in line with PS operational and financial targets
  • Work cross-functionally with PS Hospital Customer Service and Procurement Teams to grow business and product portfolio in line with customer and patient needs
  • Increase the PharmaSource presence in the hospital pharmacy market in Ireland
  • Customer and market knowledge - build solid, long-term relationships with hospital pharmacy KOLs, procurement pharmacists and technicians
  • Maintain high level of knowledge nationally on product development, competitor activity, and potential EMP customer requirements
  • Report monthly feedback on commercial activity to Pharmasource BUD, Commercial Manager, and Strategic Procurement Manager
  • Ensure customer service excellence is delivered consistently, be reactive to the rapidly changing external environment.
  • Attend industry conferences and exhibits
  • Identify possible business development opportunities to contribute to growing the Uniphar Group business

Qualification/experience:

  • Account management experience and effective selling skills, including key account and business planning, forecasts, account analysis and performance measurement
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience within a Pharma/Med Device/Hospital Sales Role
  • Ideally a background working in a hospital pharmacy
  • Demonstrable record of target achievement
  • Strong sales experience with a good knowledge of Irish healthcare environment, established relationships with Chief Hospital Pharmacists, Hospital Pharmacy Procurement team.
  • Proficient user of IT systems – MS Office suite

Pharma – On Demand

The On-Demand business is a specialist medical supply business that sources and distributes pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and consumable supplies to healthcare professionals in over 160 countries worldwide. We have offices in Ireland, UK, Europe, USA and New Zealand. The company’s main divisions encompass everything from International Sales through Sales to NGO’s and Charities, Clinical Trials Supply, Imported (Unlicensed Medicines), Sexual Health Supplies, and the storage and distribution of medical products and devices for third parties.
