GENERAL DESCRIPTION – MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This role is a unique chance to be part of a step change in our profitable growth by creating tangible, sustainable demand for our products from targeted foodservice operators. The purpose of this role is to be a driving force in the UFS organization.

Food Solutions Chefs have a 4-fold mission in which they to apply deep chef expertise to bring solutions to operators and drive business growth & efficiency:

  • Creating and activating solutions for operators by visits, demonstrations (in customer location or in UFS Kitchen), and kitchen training, while building impactful Chef to Chef relationships.
  • Inspiring and demonstrating solutions to operators.
  • Developing winning dish solutions in close cooperation with channel marketing.
  • Building UFS reputation in the FS market as a leader in operator solutions.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Duties

  • Win new accounts and retain top customers in public sector and canteens. Stay relevant to their needs.

  • Keep track of new tenders and securing UFS’s products through dialogue with wholesalers.
  • Yearly negotiations of customer contracts and securing counterparts on behalf of Unilever.
  • Weekly customer visits: need based selling, culinary consulting (cooking techniques, menu revision, recipes, kitchen economy).
  • Planning and executing trade fairs and customer workshops (inspiration days in UFS or customer kitchen).
     

KPI’s:

  • Country target reach - turnover & top 10 volume growth
  • Reach & penetration in new tenders
  • # customer visits, workshops & trade fairs – own and together with district managers
     

Key External Interfaces

Customer decision makers, Operator Chefs & Culinary teams, Tender managers & local wholesalers.

Key internal interfaces:

Country Manager (line manager); Channel Marketing, KAM, Demand Creating Chefs and district managers.

REQUIREMENTS FOR WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Educated chef
  • A demonstrable customer focused approach
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Proactive, creative and accountable

KEY SKILLS (INCL. LANGUAGE)

  • High standard of culinary excellence
  • Kitchen Operational knowledge
  • Numeracy, IT and Digital skills, particularly in MS Office
  • Team Player
  • Selling Skills
  • Experience in key account management

Scandinavian speaker, English an advantage
